Link ID
The link ID links the activities of a process extracted from a source system, such as an SAP system, that does not provide a unique case ID. By default the case ID provided by the source system links the activities of a process.
The link ID is used as a case ID that is defined using the lexicographically "first" activity ID. This means that the case ID can change when new activities are imported, that is, if you import an activity that has a lexicographically smaller letter at the beginning, the case ID will change.
In this "link-ID approach", the activities are sorted in the same order as in the "case-ID approach".
