Activity measures

Activity start time

The activity start time describes when the activity started. See point 4 in the flow chart below.

Activity end time

The activity end time describes when the activity ended. See point 5 in the flow chart below.

Activity duration

The activity duration is the time span between the activity start time and the activity end time. See point 6 in the flowchart below.

Activity wait time

The activity wait time is the time span between the end time of the previous activity and the start time of the current activity.

You can see it as the time the activity waited to start after the previous activity ended. See point 7 in the flow chart below.

Cycle time

The cycle time of an activity is the sum of the wait time and the duration of the activity. The cycle time is the time elapsed from the end of the previous activity to the end of the current activity. See point 8 of the flow chart below.

Number of activities

The number of activities measure always has the value 1 and counts the activities by using the SUM aggregation.

Number of occurrences

The number of occurrences of an activity in a case. For the activity 'Activity 3' shown in the flow chart below, the number of both occurrences is 2.

Number of start activities

The number of start activities describes how often an activity occurs as the first activity of a case. In the flow chart below, this measure is 1 for the activity 'Activity 1' and 0 for all other activities.

Number of end activities

The number of end activities describes how often an activity occurs as the last activity of a case. In the flow chart below, this measure is 1 for the activity 'Activity 5' and 0 for all other activities.
